We appreciate you taking the time to check out our web site. The weather usually averages 70 degrees; shorts and tee shirts are worn year round. The residents here are always ready to welcome you to the resort, whether you are just checking us out or you are staying. The goal here is to make everyone feel right at home.
Fig Tree RV Resort is located in Harlingen Texas, just a short distance away from South Padre Island, shopping, the airport, wild life refuges, Valley Baptist Hospital, antiques, and Nuevo Progreso, Mexico. We are a gated 55 and older community of 200 large lots (average 35’ x 55’). There are numerous trees and plants, such as palm, fig, and orchid trees. Many of the residents are long term. We are seeing more RV’ers coming here from all over the US and Canada, and many of them return every year.
The pool and spa are heated for your enjoyment and we have our laundry, with new washers and dryers.
There are so many activities to do, that you don’t know where to start. There are dinner dances, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, breakfast twice a week, pot-luck dinners, and cook-outs. If you like crafts, there is the quilt show, yard sale, and craft sessions. Fig Tree offers many activities - water aerobics, line dancing lessons, pool tournaments, golf, bowling, shuffle board, board games, talent show, jam sessions and card games (if you don’t play it now, we have many friendly residents and they will teach you how). Oh, don’t forget Santa - he arrives here on Christmas Eve. In addition to all this, there are day trips and tours available. We could go on with all the things to do and see, we would rather you came to see and enjoy for yourself.
